For example: START may be down as MENU or SET on your printer or be a green button STOP may be referred to as EXIT or a red button Before you I used the codes given to reset the counter and Hey Presto my printer now working good as new, I will replace the pad ASAP but thanks a bunch.John by unknown Once you have found and cleaned out the ink in the tank you will need to do the reset with the menu button that you had figured out before. http://buzzmeup.net/unable-to/unable-to-elevate-error-1812-android-studio.html

PURGE was terrific. not sure if i pushed menu/set key again or scrolled, i did something and then was able to scroll through heaps of stuff untill i came to 'purge 6400'. I use MFC 440CN. his comment is here Either just a sensor bad catch or maybe the waste container was "full." Just at some point now I'll have to get in there an absorb out most of the ink
Due to the way Brother printers estimate ink levels there will always be a little ink left over to stop the cartridge running out prematurely. I just followed your instructions, even messing up once so as i cringed & prayed I wouldnt have to start all over, YIPEE! I've MFC 5490 model, and I've tried to get to maintaince menu in many ways (trying to press green start buton or menu button), do You have any idea how to The purge counter is the 25th item in the list.4) Press the 2, 7, 8, and 3 keys in this order to reset the purge count to zero.5) Press the Stop/Exit
The next thing I was about to do was to set up the alignment when error 46 came up. Do the same for numbers 7, 8 and 3. To exit, press the number 9 key twice. why is this???
had you encountered that? When I print some papers there's an error flashing on the small screen of the printer. Enter '80' then hit OK. It took several attempts on MFC-640CW and on this machine the button to hold down is Menu/set.
Some common solutions that most users do to get rid of this problem are by resetting the counter or changing the waste ink tank.
